Many a people said that Pune is booming and they are so right, the only boom I hear is the boom in the income of the builders and illiterate real estate agents. The builders are clearing up every possible green patch left in Pune.
2008 talk to any builder, real estate agent and they would say that property prices are gonna rise more. I say how much more!!! Already people are not able to afford houses, and I am talking about everyone from the IT to Non IT. Prices have softenend in a place like Mumbai to the tune of 10-15% what makes the builders in Pune feel that they would be able to sell at more increased prices. Realty needs a reality shakeup.

Maharashtra govt has made it mandatory for builders to put the Carpet Area(actual usable area in the house) in black and white before selling the house. If you are aware nowadays builders use a nice jargon called built up area . So when a builders says it is a 1000 sq ft apartment then then it would include sq ft from common areas like the passage, balcony etc and the actual usable area could be just 700 sq ft. This is also applicable for RESALE flats.
If you feel you have not got what you have paid for then you can file a suit against the builder.
Be alert, you are spending your hard earned money. Remember the magic words "CARPET AREA".
